SPLURGE ON YOU
We've been through a lot, we're going through a lot, and I can't think of a better time of year to splurge on yourself than now. Below are several items that I've either recently purchased and can vouch for, or are on my current wish list, and I thought I would share them with you in the event you need some ideas. Cool? Ok - let's dig in:
Twisted Tapered Candles - I'm going to set the table again for Valentine's day (like I did last year), and these tapered candles will go perfectly with my pink depression glass dishes. I encourage you to also set the table every once in a while for dinner. Sure it's easy to plop on the couch in front of the TV, and I do it just about every day, but try switching it up a bit every now and then - it's fun pretending you're out dining at your favorite restaurant.
Black Ceramic Wind Chime - I was looking up something handmade to add to this list and when I stumbled upon this wind chime on Etsy, I immediately purchased it. Hurry, there's only 4 left!
Nars Starwoman Power Matte Lipstick - sure we're still at home, but that doesn't mean we can't add a pop of color to our lips every once in a while (even if we don't have a zoom call to attend). This is my absolute favorite red lipstick and it literally stays on all day.
Farmgirl Flowers - If you've ever received flowers from me, they have come from Farmgirl Flowers. I just love their assortment, and I personally love that this specific bouquet comes with a leopard spotted glass vase.
Bath and Meditation Kit - You know I love me a good bath, yet I hardly ever get them because my apartment only has a large walk-in shower (boooo). I love the ritual of turning on some light music, lighting some incense or a palo santo stick, and lathering up with a good smelling soap - and this kit includes it all.
Back Massager - Hands down this is my favorite Amazon purchase of all time. I wish I were getting paid for this because I have sold so many of these massagers to friends and family. I'm serious, this is the best gift you could ever give to yourself. And don't forget to click the coupon button for 10% off!
Bottle of Wine - When the world opens up again, I want to visit the Brown Estate winery in Napa. I was gifted several of their bottles a while ago and have been a fan ever since. I just splurged on a bottle of their tempranillo earlier this week and I can't wait for it get here.
Byredo Perfume - I blame my sister for sending me a sample of this the Bal D'Afrique from Byredo. I'm typically a tabacco, amber, sandalwood type of girl - but this scent is sooo good and I'm going to have to buy it. Damn you Tara, lol!!
Marble Rippled Bowl - I know at first glance this bowl looks like a stack of coffee filters (you're welcome, now you won't be able to unsee it either) but I want it, and think it will look really pretty on my new dresser once it's finished. It comes in a few sizes and is great to store jewelery, matches, glasses, etc inside.
Rustic Charcuterie Board - To me, a good charcuterie board = dinner. I often make one up on Friday's and snack on it in the evenings instead of making a "proper" dinner and I love it. Of course I've been using my own pottery boards that I made to display the cheeses, fruit, crackers, proscuitto, etc on - but I'm really love these rustic boards that I found on Etsy.
