THRIFTED VALENTINE TABLESCAPE

My Thrifted Valentine Tablescape

Yesterday I made a quick pitstop to the thrift store at lunch see if I could find a few items for my upcoming markets. Of course I didn't find much for the market, but I did find this full set of blush pink plates that I just couldn't pass up (the picture here is a little dark, but the color is the perfect blush pink). There are a TON of them and the moment I saw them, I knew that I was going to use them for my thrifted Valentine’s tablescape.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Most pictures that you see on social media were not taken right before they were posted. Gasp - shocker - the horror, I know!! I've had my Valentine table set for a couple of days now waiting for the right amount of light to shine through, but with all of the storms we've had here in North Carolina this week, my apartment just wasn't getting the light it needed. So last night I decided to give up on the idea of a "bright" picture and instead went for a more romantic/moody vibe, and I'm so glad that I did.

Every single item on this table (other than the flowers) was thrifted and I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little obsessed. For over a year now, I’ve been slowly building my collection of pink depression glass and I couldn’t think of a better day to pull it all out and set up this beautiful tablescape for dinner this evening. What do you think? PS. If you love this pink setting, then you will want to make sure you’re first in line at the upcoming @patchworkmarket (Sunday, August 23rd) as I have 2 sets that I will be selling at my booth! #thisiswhyithrift
